PSC final order, Grafton Municipal Water Department (26-0822-W-MA)
Commission Order referring to ALJ for decision by 12/30/2026; that the Grafton Municipal Water Department is hereby made a respondent to this proceeding, and, pending investigation, hearing, and decision thereon, pursuant to the requirements of W. Va. Code § 24-2-4b, the water rates and charges proposed in the Ordinance passed by the City of Grafton on August 18, 2026, are suspended for 120 days from October 2, 2026, which is the date the rates would otherwise have gone into effect, unless otherwise ordered by the Commission, to enable the Commission to examine and investigate the proposed water rate increase and to provide time for the Commission’s Division of Administrative Law Judges to conduct the necessary hearing required by the statute; that the running of the suspension period is tolled effective at 12:01 a.m. October 2, 2026 until the Grafton Municipal Water Department has filed the requested information; Final Joint staff memo due 12/1/2026, or such later date as may be ordered by the Commission when the tolling period has been determined; etc.
